I'm full of joy and pride today because my grandson, Hunter, who is five years old has become a budding author of short stories. He chose as his pseudonym, Thunder Strike because it sounded fun and cool. This idea sprouted from our two most recent regular times together. Each Friday, my wife, Cindy, and I pick him up at school and care for him so Andrew, my son, and his girlfriend, Lauren, can work. We've done all kinds of activities together over the last three years, and we're always open to something new. About 10 days ago he said, "Hey, Papa, I want to create a book." Well, I jumped at the chance to do that with him. I jumped up, opened up my iPad, and began to transcribe all of his thoughts as they flowed out of him. When all was said and done, he'd written nearly three short stories. He finished his third yesterday. He said, "I want to put them on Internet so people could buy them." To that end, I present them here for your enjoyment. He'd be thrilled if you bought one of these books (he has visions of being a successful author). If you'd like to buy one of his books, please use my Venmo profile, and I'll pass along the royalties. A dollar or two would be a fabulous encouragement to this young man. Happy Reading!

Brian F. SchuttI'm Brian, "Dr. B," Beau, or Papa. Most days start early for me in silence and solitude looking for wisdom in the Word as I sit in silence and solitude with a pen, paper, and a hot brew nearby. Faith in Jesus, my wife, Cindy, my family, and life itself shape me. This is where the act of creation happens to make it a tangible reality. ArchivesCategories |
